Sneak Peak at Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film – ‘Blue’
Here is a sneak peak at one of the most awaited movie of 2009! The movie stars the biggest superstar of Bollywood without a ‘Khan‘ surname…yes we are referring to our daring action hero – Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film – ‘ Blue ’.
‘Blue’ the new Bollywood flick, is the story of three friends who set out to find a sunken treasure ship. Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar play fishermen based in the Bahamas, Zayed Khan is a flamboyant guy who joins them in a treasure hunt. Lara plays Sanjay’s wife and Katrina’s character has grey shades to it. The director drew inspiration from the Hollywood film ‘The Deep’.
The gigantic posters that revealed the look of India’s first film shot extensively underwater were all blue in colour. The completion party of Blue occurred recently at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, the producer of the film said on the occasion that, “the film was the first of its kind because no other Indian film had been shot underwater! The film ‘Blue’ is high budgeted at a whopping amount of Rs.1.29 billion“.
The Chief guest at the ceremony was Kylie Minogue, the Australian pop singer who has lend her voice to a music video in the film. “The experience has been intense and enriching”, said Kylie. US $ 1 million was paid to the pop-star for her presence in a foot-tapping number in Blue.
Directed by Anthony D’Souza and produced by Dhillin Mehta, the film is set for release on 14 August, 2009. The story of the film is written by Mayur Puri and music is by A.R. Rahman.
