Akki calls for a pay cut among stars
The ongoing recession seems to have finally hit the highest paid actor in Bollywood Akshay Kumar. The king of Box Office in an interview said that the top ranking stars will have to take a pay cut to save the industry from the present financial crisis. Akshay who had put a price tag of Rs 30 crores after the success of his movie Singh is Kinng confessed to have take a pay cut for his upcoming movies.
Akshay might have got a wakeup call after his upcoming film 8x10 Tasveer had problems in finding a buyer due to the inflated cost a bulk of which went to the actor. The Nagesh Kukunoor directed movie stars Ayesha Takia in the female lead. Akshay has a host of releases lined up for this year including Kambakth Ishq, Blue and De Dana Dan
