Akshay Kumar - Khiladi (My Favourite Actor)

The venue was designed to reflect the theme of the movie- an underwater adventure shot in the Bahamas. Truckloads of sand were used to create the ambience of a beach.
Akshay Kumar lightened up the mood of the party with his jokes about the alleged rift between him and fellow star Sanjay Dutt. “Can’t you see that he is sitting at one end and I at the other!” he said, though he hugged and posed with Dutt for the shutterbugs.
According to rumours, Sanjay was miffed with director Anthony D’Souza for sidelining him during the shooting of Blue while giving preference to Akshay Kumar and so had reportedly kept postponing the shoot.
The party also saw the presence of actress Lara Dutta, actor Zayed Khan and Australian popstar Kylie Minogue.
Dhilin Mehta, of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision said that the film was the first of its kind because no other Indian film had been shot underwater! It was also the first to be made with a budget of 100 crores! He was also grateful to chief guest Kylie Minogue for agreeing to do the film despite being so busy
The Australian singer, who has sung for the promotional video looked mesmerizing in a green dress. Media persons clamored for her attention, while she looked wide-eyed and happy saying that she had never imagined herself as part of a Hindi film
Akshay recalled how director Anthony D’Souza had convinced him to come on board. “He took me to the Bahamas and told me to dive 100 feet into the sea, where he asked me to remove my oxygen mark. I also had about 40 sharks for company! But I wanted to do the film.”
Besides the several dangerous underwater stunts he performed, Zayed Khan said the other thing he could not get out of his mind was Kylie. “She’s a wonderful person, one of a kind,” he said.Sanjay Dutt preferred to smile and nod in agreement with everyone, saying that he did the film to experience shooting underwater. Otherwise he was saving his breath for this election campaigns in April!Lara Dutta , a non-swimmer, admitted that she was reluctant to be part of Blue, but was egged on by Akshay Kumar. “He knows that I can never resist a challenge. That was enough for me to sign on the dotted line.”
Kabir Bedi, who is also in the film, was very excited to be part of the cast, though he couldn’t reveal his role.
